It's Official ...

… Mark is now a Buckeye!  The final day of his move going off without a hitch wasn’t meant to be, but all in all it went pretty well.

Our caravan consisted of Mark and I in his company vehicle, John and Caleb in the moving truck, and Karen and Faith in the family van that travels the country. Couple Michigan’s construction season with departure a wee bit later than anticipated, we finally arrived in Perrysburg about 1.5 hours behind schedule.

Murphy’s law, of course, had intervened along the way. Furniture redelivery was scheduled during the 12-3 timeslot. Even though Mark had told at least four different people on four different occasions we’d be driving in from Michigan and wouldn’t arrive before 1 p.m., he received a myriad of telephone calls beginning at quarter to noon wondering where we were. And the cable guy who was supposed to arrive between 2 and 4? He showed up at 1:30. The truck transporting the TV didn’t make it until 2:30. But after finally wrapping up delivery and installation, it really didn’t take long to unload the remainder of Mark’s stuff and get everything in place. Now it's time to celebrate!

I think guys have an innate sense of where to find the best pizza in any given city. Mark had already discovered the Original Gino’s Pizza, Toledo’s claim to pizza fame. We all can attest to the fact that it is some of THE best we’ve ever had. Cheese bread, a round of sodas, and an extra large Special Pizza was enough to feed our hungry crew, but as an afterthought we threw in another small Special Pizza to put us over the top and take care of lunch the next day.

It was then back to the hotel so the kids could swim before we gathered in their room to play a couple rounds of Apples to Apples. (Fun game … you should try it!) It was evident from the silly answers and uncontrollable laughter that we were all a bit tired. Nonetheless, we always have a great time when we hang out and tonight proved to be no different.

Congrats on your successful move, Mark! Be prepared to be invaded on a regular basis!

What a strange looking group of people :)
I hope Mark REALLY likes that pizza cause everyone that has read this blog and visits Mark is now going to want to try it.

Are the people in the picture asking for seconds or are they telling us what they have to do after eating the pizza?
