School's (Almost) Out for Summer

It’s the final week of pre-school and VIP—Very Important Person—Day. I got to visit Kaden’s classroom again and joined in for the hands-on fun. I also learned a thing or two about what’s important in life.

Cornstarch and water may make an ooey, gooey mess that’s fun to play with, but it doesn’t taste quite as good as the paste we used to eat when I was in school.

If you want to make lots of bubbles, you not only have to blow hard, but it also helps to have a big honkin’ wand.

Even though the principles of the law of attraction don’t really make much sense until you hit puberty, big honkin’ magnets are fascinating.

Big honkin’ coffee filters make great coloring canvases … and art is always much more interesting when you add water.

(Do we see a big honkin’ theme here in pre-school?)

And, finally, cookies taste much better when you wear half the frosting on them.

Whew! I don’t know about Kaden, but I’m glad it’s time for summer vacation. Pre-school is fun, but it’s kind of messy!

Thanks for being a big honkin' Aunt(big hearted that is!- we are not making reference to your size). Love you, Kaden
